Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build the data foundation powering our healthcare decision intelligence platform. You will design and deliver production pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Python, implementing the canonical data model and ensuring data quality across a multi-tenant environment.

You will work with the Principal Data Engineer to shape architecture, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations, while partnering with analytics and reporting teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering and production data pipelines.
• Strong Snowflake experience, including streams, tasks, and RBAC concepts.
• Proficient with dbt and Airflow to structure models and DAGs.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, plus data modeling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines in a unified framework using Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Implement the canonical data model in production and improve architecture.
• Incorporate automated data quality checks at pipeline stages.
• Instrument pipelines for observability: freshness, lineage, and alerts.
• Enable self-service data access with governed outputs for teams.
• Collaborate with invoicing, analytics, and reporting teams to meet needs.
