Cognito Therapeutics seeks a Data Platform Engineer to build the cloud data lakehouse, ingest pipelines, and governance for a unified data platform. You will enable analytics and an AI chatbot interface across device, clinical, and business data.

The role emphasizes securing data, designing scalable pipelines, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver enterprise analytics capabilities in a remote U.S. setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems; 5+ years building data platforms.
• Experience designing and building data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking) for the data platform.
• Build ingestion points and pipelines from multiple sources into a central platform at scale.
• Standardize data models and contracts for interoperable datasets.
• Own data lakehouse setup including storage layout and compute configuration.
• Establish data quality checks and observability in the data platform.
• Stand up analytics layer and self-serve analytics capabilities.
• Support BI dashboards and internal LLM-powered chatbot integration.
• Enforce access controls, encryption, and data governance from start.
