Job summary

CI&T is building a brand-new data platform for a market-leading legal services client. The role covers architecture, prototyping, delivery, and ongoing support, with direct collaboration to AI architecture and product ownership in a lean delivery team.

You will design end-to-end data lifecycle, lead data pipelines and transformations, and shape cloud infrastructure as code across the stack. Excellent English and client-facing communication are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on experience designing and building enterprise-grade data platforms from scratch, operating as architect and IC.
• Deep expertise in Databricks and lakehouse architecture design.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform is mandatory (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Solid proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or AWS CDK.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals: data modeling, distributed computing, ETL/ELT design patterns, and entity resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to structure data platforms to support data science, ML, and BI needs.
• Core background rooted in data engineering and pipeline/platform development, not just analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Platform Build: Design and build a scalable lakehouse data platform from the ground up, covering raw ingestion to downstream consumption.
• Hands-on Engineering: Develop production-grade data pipelines and platform services by coding and reviewing work.
• Infrastructure: Provision, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure as code for repeatable deployments.
• Technical Leadership: Set engineering best practices and guardrails; mentor team members in data engineering practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business requirements into technical solutions and defend architectural decisions with client leadership.
