Job summary

SHI is seeking a Solutions Architect, Data Governance to lead governance strategy and architecture for enterprise data across client engagements. You will collaborate with executives, data leaders, security, and delivery teams to establish trust and control over data estates.

The role focuses on Purview, metadata management, taxonomy development, data lineage, and governance models, with emphasis on readiness for analytics and AI using Fabric, Power BI, and Azure services.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of delivering enterprise data, information management, or data governance solutions.
• Hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Purview, including metadata management and business glossary.
• Experience establishing data stewardship programs and executive sponsorship.
• Experience leading customer-facing consulting engagements, governance assessments, and strategy sessions.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Azure.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead SME for enterprise data governance and Purview implementation.
• Lead governance discovery workshops, maturity assessments, roadmap engagements, and strategy sessions.
• Design governance frameworks including stewardship models, ownership structures, and metadata management processes.
• Architect and oversee Purview governance capabilities across Fabric, Azure, Power BI, and related platforms.
• Guide customers in developing sustainable governance processes and adoption strategies.
• Lead governance monitoring and operational reporting using Azure Monitor and related tools.
• Advise on governance readiness for Microsoft 365 Copilot and enterprise AI initiatives.
