Job summary

Ericsson Inc. in New Albany, Ohio is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to install, operate, and maintain data center infrastructure.

The role focuses on rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and ensuring safety and quality in line with Ericsson and customer standards. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of data center operations experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, collaborating with project teams and vendors to complete deployments and ongoing

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, testing and equipment installation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification; perform MACDs and FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built documentation.
