Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale data centers in New Albany, Ohio. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and field support following Ericsson standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, and power distribution systems.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing and validation, including continuity tests, fiber verifications, and standard turn-ups; perform MACDs and FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior staff.
