Job summary

Ericsson in Columbus, OH is hiring a Data Center Services Technician to support deployment, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. You’ll perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, and testing while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes independent work with minimal supervision and collaboration with teams, vendors, and customers to ensure proper installation and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, technical certification is a plus.
• 1+ years in data center operations, cabling, field services, or IT infra.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and installation documents.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage and related infra per docs.
• Route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling.
• Install PDUs, connect power, and verify power/management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware, and manage OOB connections.
• Perform testing and MACD activities following procedures; update records.
• Escalate design or safety concerns to senior staff when needed.
