Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecom, or IT infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing assigned work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment per designs and installation documentation.
• Install, route, terminate copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing and validation activities, including MACD and standard FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
