Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced leader to own end-to-end data center strategy supporting high-performance GPU and AI infrastructure deployments. You will influence colocation decisions, negotiate complex agreements, and drive deployment readiness across multiple sites while partnering with senior leadership.

The role offers remote nationwide work with travel to partner sites, and a bonus plus equity opportunity in addition to base compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data center site selection, colocation procurement, or related operations experience.
• Proven experience negotiating colocation contracts, pricing, SLAs, uptime remedies.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center site selection, sourcing, vetting, contracting, and readiness for deployments.
• Evaluate colocation facilities for power, cooling, connectivity, security, and cost.
• Manage RFP processes for new data center requirements and vendor selection.
• Negotiate terms in colocation and service agreements, including pricing and SLAs.
• Coordinate with Legal and leadership to sign commercially strong agreements.
• Oversee facility fit-out and deployment readiness activities.
• Track milestones, risks, and delays; escalate issues proactively.
