Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Data Center Power Generation & Microgrids Engineer to own on-site generation and storage architectures across a portfolio of sites. You will design and size prime movers, manage bridging-generation strategies, and ensure compliance with NFPA and interconnection standards.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, hardware, and compute teams to integrate generation with site distribution and SCADA systems. This remote role requires travel for reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in power generation, microgrids, storage, or interconnection.
• Experience with generation technologies (engines, turbines, fuel cells).
• Familiarity with NFPA and interconnection codes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own behind-the-meter generation architecture across the portfolio, sizing and expansion strategy.
• Define temporary and bridging generation to energize sites before permanent utility.
• Lead interconnection studies, grid-connection protection, and vendor diligence for on-site generation.
