Job summary

Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a Microgrid Field Engineer to design, build, commission, and maintain power generation, transmission, and distribution systems behind mission-critical data centers nationwide.

Based in the continental U.S., you will travel to customer sites, troubleshoot complex electrical systems, and serve as the on-site face of our team. A strong owner mentality and self-motivated drive are essential for success in this travel-intensive role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years in power systems design/field service on HV systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75%+) to U.S. sites.
• Must reside in continental U.S. within ~2 hours of a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites nationwide to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power systems and microgrids.
• Serve as on-site technical point of contact for customers and operations teams.
• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot protective relay settings for high-voltage equipment.
• Support FAT of equipment from OEMs (Solar Turbines, GE, Pratt & Whitney).
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70/70E and IEEE standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project improvements.
