Job summary

Redtree Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support schematic design development, detailed engineering, and field activities for power generation projects. Focus areas include coal, natural gas, and data center power infrastructure, with multiple openings from mid to senior levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing electrical systems for power generation facilities.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with low-, medium-, and high-voltage distribution systems.
• Knowledge of protection and control systems and relay coordination.
• Experience with ETAP or similar analysis software.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, NESC, and utility requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• US work eligibility without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on assigned projects, coordinating with clients and vendors.
• Develop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Design HV/MV systems including switchgear, substations, transformers, and relays.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers to develop specifications.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and relay coordination studies.
• Provide field engineering support during construction, startup, and commissioning.
• Support project scoping, budgeting, and schedule estimation.
• Develop technical specifications and drawings across all project phases.
