Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Design Manager to oversee greenfield and add/move/change projects for colocation and hyperscale data centers, from due diligence through construction. The role supports a remote work schedule with periodic onsite collaboration; travel may be required for milestones.

The ideal candidate has civil engineering background, PE licensure, and strong communication with experience in data center civil and utility infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center due diligence, planning, and design to meet client requirements.
• Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
• Host and attend client meetings and stakeholder briefings.
• Proactively manage change and communicate with clients and teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions.
• Maintain clear updates with all stakeholders and resolve issues.
• Develop technical and financial proposals for new data center projects.
• Foster relationships with clients and sub/partner consultants.
• Coach junior staff and support professional growth.
