Job summary

JLL is seeking a Technical Services Site Assessment Specialist to lead independent CEGA assessments for data centers and mission-critical facilities, evaluating MEP systems and identifying gaps. You will manage proposals through final deliverables, maintain client relationships, and ensure project profitability while translating complex findings into actionable business recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in critical facilities, data centers, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Expertise in electrical power systems (UPS, generators, PDUs, ATS, switchgear), mechanical cooling systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, evaporative cooling), fire suppression and life safety systems, and building automation systems.
• Strong understanding of Uptime Institute Tier Standards, NFPA codes (70, 75, 110), data center design best practices, redundancy configurations, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Proven experience developing technical proposals, scope documents, and ROM cost estimates for capital projects.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to track project profitability and manage budgets while handling multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical information to non-technical and executive audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with photo documentation and digital asset management.
• Willingness to travel 30% domestically and conduct multi-day site assessments.
• Physical capability to navigate facility environments including rooftops, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, confined spaces, and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive CEGA assessments for data centers and mission-critical facilities through visual inspections of MEP systems.
• Evaluate electrical power systems (UPS, generators, PDUs, transformers, switchgear) and cooling infrastructure (chillers, CRAH/CRAC) and fire suppression and life safety systems.
• Assess redundancy configurations (N, N+1, 2N) and compliance with industry standards; identify single points of failure.
• Develop feasibility studies for generator systems, UPS replacement strategies, and HVAC design analysis with phased implementation plans.
• Serve as primary client contact during site visits, conduct stakeholder interviews, coordinate logistics, and deliver findings to client leadership.
• Generate detailed technical proposals with scope, deliverables, pricing, and ROM cost estimates for capital improvements.
• Author assessment reports with executive summaries, MEP analysis, code gaps, prioritized recommendations with timelines and probable costs.
• Manage multiple projects, track hours and expenses, monitor profitability, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Maintain organized documentation including photo archives, equipment inventories, and management presentations per JLL quality standards.
