Job summary

JLL seeks a Technical Services Site Assessment Specialist to lead CEGA assessments for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will evaluate MEP systems, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for infrastructure optimization.

You will manage proposals, ROM costs, and client presentations while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Travel up to 30% is required, with a focus on delivering on‑time, on‑budget outcomes from a remote-enabled nationwide setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in critical facilities, data centers, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Expertise in electrical power systems, cooling systems, fire suppression and life safety, and building automation.
• Strong understanding of industry standards (Uptime Institute, NFPA) and redundancy configurations.
• Experience developing proposals, scope documents, and ROM cost estimates for capital projects.
• Ability to track project profitability and manage budgets across multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical and executive audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with documentation workflows.
• Willingness to travel 30% domestically and conduct multi-day site assessments.
• Physical ability to navigate facility environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CEGA assessments for data centers and mission-critical facilities through visual inspections of MEP systems.
• Evaluate electrical power, cooling, fire suppression, and BAS systems for gaps and risks.
• Assess redundancy (N, N+1, 2N) and compliance with NFPA, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE.
• Develop feasibility studies for generator, UPS, and HVAC design with phased implementation.
• Serve as primary client contact during site visits and deliver findings to leadership.
• Prepare technical proposals with scope, deliverables, pricing, and ROM estimates.
• Author assessment reports with executive summaries and cost opinions.
• Manage multiple projects, track hours, expenses, and profitability to ensure on-time delivery.
