Job summary

Milliman is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead day-to-day security operations, manage analysts and engineers, and drive continuous improvement across a globally distributed organization.

You will oversee threat monitoring, incident response, and remediation, while developing dashboards and metrics for executive reporting. Collaborate with IT, privacy, risk, and compliance teams to strengthen resilience and enable secure business operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of Information Security experience.
• Experience supervising staff and conducting performance reviews.
• Experience with geographically diverse offices in a global organization.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, HITRUST.
• Ability to interpret security data to identify compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and lifecycle of SIEM, EDR, security scanning, firewall, secure web gateway, and related security technologies.
• Manage Security Operations Analysts and Security Engineers, including performance management, annual reviews, workload oversight, and professional development.
• Establish operating procedures, escalation paths, on-call expectations, and service levels, and support audits.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, risk indicators, and executive reporting showing performance and trends.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, identity, network, endpoint, application, and privacy teams to embed security requirements and strengthen controls.
• Lead security projects and cross-functional initiatives with clear ownership and delivery.
