Job summary

CyberMaxx is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen our 24/7 SOC and MDR capabilities. You will formalize security tuning requests, help improve detection, and maintain incident response documentation while coordinating forensics activities when needed.

You will mentor new teammates, drive optimization, and act as a SME for key security products. This role requires clear communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Certified in one or more intermediate level security certifications.
• At least 3 years’ experience performing similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Formalize and deliver security product tuning requests to improve detection capabilities and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain incident response documentation and knowledge bases.
• Coordinate basic forensics activities as needed.
• Conduct after action reviews to identify process and human capital improvements.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members.
• Drive continuous improvement, open communication, and knowledge sharing.
• Act as primary SME for one or more security products.
• Serve as initial escalation point for complex or sensitive work.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
• Propose improvements to reduce risk and future incidents.
• Maintain high level of expertise with products and related technologies.
