Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, develop, and implement secure solutions across product, application, network and device vulnerabilities. This remote role supports the U.S.

operations and strengthens Abbott’s security posture to protect data and systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify threats, assess risks, and implement remediation, leveraging advanced controls and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience using JIRA for project and issue tracking.
• Technical knowledge of common web and mobile application security vulnerabilities; ability to triage, assess cybersecurity risk, and support remediation (ADC products).
• Preferred Security+ certification or equivalent cybersecurity credential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of a risk-based cybersecurity program aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Perform threat identification, analysis, and mitigation using advanced security controls and toolsets.
• Support the evolution of the cyber threat and vulnerability management program for consistent detection, response, and monitoring.
• Assess business-related threats and deploy appropriate countermeasures.
• Collaborate with business units, development teams, product teams, and vendors to meet cybersecurity program requirements.
• Apply deep technical expertise to protect the organization from cyber threats, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection, and more.
• Assist management in developing strategies, policies, and standards to safeguard information and technology assets.
• Identify, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities discovered via security scans, pen tests, and product security assessments (web and mobile ADC products).
