Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Compliance and Information Security teams. This role can be performed remotely within the United States and focuses on risk assessment, audits, and maintaining regulatory compliance across international frameworks.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement security controls, support certification efforts, and guide secure practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years cybersecurity experience with a preference for compliance.
• Experience in audit and certification processes.
• Knowledge of General IT Controls and information security.
• Strong analytical skills to translate security requirements into programs.
• Ability to communicate business risk related to cybersecurity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across management levels.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Holding CISSP/CISA/CISM/CCSP or similar certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Support readiness and certification of international frameworks (France HDS, Germany C5, Spain ENS, China CPCS, France MES, UK CE+).
• Assist with external and internal audit activities and evidence collection.
• Ensure business continuity policies comply with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain information security standards and procedures.
• Implement secure design policies and align with industry guidelines.
• Conduct threat/risk analysis and assess impact of systems and technologies.
• Assist with incident response and remediation.
• Maintain quality service by adhering to organizational standards.
• Attend project meetings and guide secure practices as security consultant.
