Job summary

Cyberjobs is seeking a cybersecurity engineer with DevSecOps expertise to securely deliver software for a DoD/DoN mission environment. The role emphasizes integrating cybersecurity across the SDLC, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring RMF compliance.

You will work in a fully remote setup supporting DoD software assurance, with hands-on security testing, policy reviews, and collaboration across engineering teams to strengthen secure software delivery.

Qualifications

• Secret security clearance is required.
• RMF familiarity and DoD RMF processes.
• Experience with SAST/DAST in software security testing.
• CI/CD security and DevSecOps experience.
• Knowledge of DoD security standards and DISA STIGs/SRGs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code and container vulnerability assessments using DoD tools and STIGs/SRGs.
• Assess OS configurations against DISA guidance.
• Perform security assessments, audits, and risk analyses.
• Apply SAST and DAST across the SDLC.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and review GitLab findings.
• Review GitLab security results and coordinate remediation.
• Track findings through closure and ensure RMF compliance.
• Review security policies and protected branch controls.
• Provide cybersecurity oversight for container workloads with NeuVector.
• Collaborate with teams to remediate or document risks.
• Prepare RMF artifacts and DoD documentation.
• Support DoD information system mitigation strategies.
