Job summary

Whitespace is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture and support federal compliance requirements. The role emphasizes secure CI/CD, DSOP alignment, and cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov, DoD Cloud or air-gapped). Remote, with <20% travel, U.S. citizenship preferred.

You will lead efforts to integrate security into development and operations, aiming to obtain and maintain a DoD ATO while collaborating with security teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on DevSecOps experience in AI/ML or data-intensive systems
• Deep knowledge of DSOP and secure cloud platforms
• Experience with DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain clearance or security clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of security into development and operations processes
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining DoD ATO
• Architect secure CI/CD pipelines for DoD Gov environments
• Implement IaC for DoD RMF controls
• Coordinate with ISSOs/ISSMs for ATO package development
