Job summary

CESI, a By Light company, seeks a DevOps professional to design, implement, and sustain DevOps processes forDoD cybersecurity software. You will automate deployments, manage VM/containers, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines across private and public clouds.

The ideal candidate will have strong scripting abilities, experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and a security-focused mindset, with required Security+ and IAT Level II or higher. Remote with occasional Hanover, MD visits.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Three years of work experience preferred.
• Security+ required within 6 months of date of hire
• Additional certifications are a definite plus or working towards a certification(s).
• IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification within six months of date of hire.
• Understanding of commercial DevOps tools and processes
• Use scripting languages for automation, administration, data collection and reporting.
• Configuration manage, version control, and backup various scripts and work products created to execute and maintain the environment.
• Prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
• Lead small projects to research and/or implement new technologies.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
• Professionally convey system-wide performance information via PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Train others to perform DevOps tasks and support a knowledge library.
• Interact with developers to understand software changes that impact development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain automation deployment and monitoring scripts and CI/CD processes.
• Work on automation deployments and managing virtualized and containerized assets.
• Create and configure virtual and physical network configurations, servers and test/developer environments.
• Provide support for developers, integration and test engineers to use DevOps capabilities.
• Troubleshoot to diagnose system problems and maintain operations.
• Utilize a ticketing system to plan and track work.
• Ensure system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration.
