Job summary

Meriplex is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to deliver hands-on security engineering and advisory services for client environments, spanning infrastructure, cloud, networks, and endpoints. You will design, deploy, configure, and support security solutions while aligning with business objectives and operational needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop security documentation, and lead incident response activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security industry or equivalent
• Experience with systems administration and network infrastructure is required
• Experience managing Active Directory and Windows Server is required
• Security certifications such as Security+ or CISSP are preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and secure security infrastructure to ensure a robust posture
• Perform complex deployments of security technologies
• Execute information security activities such as vulnerability management, app security, business continuity, networking, and risk management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into client environments
• Develop and maintain security documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and incident response playbooks
• Understand and apply security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS) and compliance requirements
• Stay current with threats and recommend countermeasures to enhance client security
• Provide guidance on security best practices and regulatory requirements
• Research and deploy next-generation security technologies
• Assist in incident response activities such as firewall log review, SIEM, and XDR configurations
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain
• Proficient in scripting (bash, PowerShell, Python, KQL)
