Job summary

Meriplex is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to deliver hands-on security engineering and advisory services for clients, designing and deploying security across on-premises and cloud environments. You will collaborate with clients to understand their security maturity and business goals, providing guidance, documentation, and implementation of protective controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security industry or equivalent
• 5+ years managing Active Directory/Windows Server
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required
• Experience with systems administration and network infrastructure
• Experience documenting security technologies and processes

Responsibilities

• Design and secure security infrastructure to ensure a robust security posture
• Deploy security technologies in complex environments
• Execute information security activities such as vulnerability management and risk management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls
• Develop and maintain security documentation and incident response playbooks
• Understand and apply security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/27053, CIS)
• Stay updated on threats and recommend countermeasures
• Provide guidance on security best practices and regulatory requirements
• Research and evaluate next-gen security technologies
• Assist in incident response activities (firewall logs, SIEM, XDR)
