Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager to drive strategic cybersecurity initiatives and strengthen the organization’s security posture.

You will translate strategy into execution, align stakeholders, and lead complex programs across multiple cybersecurity domains. The role collaborates with cybersecurity leaders, architects, engineers, product teams, vendors, and executives to deliver predictable outcomes, meet compliance, and enable business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, cybersecurity, business, engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of cross-functional project leadership in technology/cybersecurity/risk management.
• Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams, stakeholders, and dependencies.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or security-related initiatives in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in one or more cybersecurity domains such as Identity Security, Security Operations, Incident Response, Cloud Security, Network Security, or Governance.
• Strong knowledge of planning, risk, dependency, governance, and reporting within PM disciplines.
• Experience developing executive communications, status reporting, and decision-support materials.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders in matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cybersecurity initiatives from planning through implementation and operational transition.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, assumptions, decisions, and action items.
• Coordinate delivery across cybersecurity teams, technology organizations, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
• Drive execution of initiatives across Identity & Access Management, Security Operations, Cloud Security, Network Security, and Governance.
• Facilitate planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, executive updates, governance forums, and steering meetings.
• Identify delivery risks, resource constraints, cross-team dependencies, and schedule impacts; develop mitigation plans.
• Establish and maintain project reporting with progress, risks, decisions, milestones, and outcomes.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-focused communications for leadership.
• Partner with cybersecurity leaders to align execution with strategic objectives and roadmaps.
• Manage project scope, goals, and timeline with approved objectives.
• Manage project financials with budgeting, forecasts, and time tracking.
• Drive accountability and resolve issues and blockers promptly.
• Support vendor engagements, procurement activities, and implementation planning when applicable.
• Ensure artifacts, governance requirements, and controls are maintained throughout lifecycle.
• Promote consistent delivery practices and adapt to Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid models.
• Lead project teams and contractors, mentor junior PMs.
