Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, US-based role. You will lead cybersecurity compliance programs, risk initiatives, and vCISO advisory services for clients, partnering with executives and security teams to strengthen programs and meet obligations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, cybersecurity, governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits and evidence.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, third‑party and vendor risk, and using GRC platforms.
• Able to advise executives, manage multiple engagements, and assess controls across environments.
• Professional certifications such as CISM, CISA or equivalent.
• Leadership experience in teams, projects, or advisory programs.
• Experience in MSP/MSSP or consulting delivering vCISO services.
• Familiarity with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, SIEM, and endpoint security.
• Knowledge of AI governance, data protection, and emerging AI risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance programs, risk management initiatives, and advisory services.
• Provide vCISO guidance, roadmaps, investment planning, and executive reporting.
• Oversee policy development, audit prep, evidence collection, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Manage client and internal risk assessments, third‑party risk, and vendor due diligence.
• Define deliverables across service tiers and ensure cyber posture reporting.
• Collaborate with security operations on incident response and remediation activities.
• Coach Security & Compliance Analysts as the team grows.
