Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote role based in the United States. You will lead cybersecurity compliance programs and risk initiatives, delivering vCISO guidance to clients.

You will shepherd governance, risk, and compliance efforts across NIST CSF, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001, mentoring security teams and reporting to executives. Strong client-facing experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, cybersecurity, governance, risk or regulatory compliance.
• Active CISSP certification in good standing.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audit support.
• Experience with risk assessments, third-party/vendor risk, cyber insurance, and GRC tooling.
• Strong client-facing communication; ability to advise executives across Windows/macOS/cloud/network/identity environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across multiple frameworks.
• Conduct gap assessments, crosswalks, maturity evaluations, and remediation tracking.
• Oversee Security Program Platform governance and risk/compliance processes.
• Provide vCISO services, including strategy, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Advise on AI governance, data protection, and emerging security risks.
• Coordinate incident response and vulnerability management with teams.
