New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States-based role. You will lead multi‑framework compliance programs, risk management initiatives, and advisory services for clients, collaborating with executives, security operations, and internal analysts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, cybersecurity, governance, risk or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits and evidence management.
• Experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, third‑party and vendor risk, and using GRC platforms.
• Able to advise executives, manage multiple engagements, and evaluate controls across Windows, macOS, cloud, networking, and identity environments.
• Certifications such as CISM or CISA are a plus.
• Previous leadership in teams, projects, client engagements, or advisory programs.
• Experience delivering vCISO or cybersecurity advisory services in MSP/MSSP/consulting.
• Familiar with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, SIEM, and endpoint security tools.
• Knowledge of CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Cisco Secure Connect, Cisco Meraki, OpenDNS, Jamf MDM, Microsoft Intune, Azure, OneLogin, Okta.
• AI governance, policies, data protection, and emerging AI risk experience; Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution and a passion for tech and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives including risk assessments, policy development, audit prep, evidence collection and ongoing monitoring across NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001.
• Oversee governance, risk and compliance processes within the Security Program Platform.
• Manage third‑party risk management, cyber insurance questionnaires, renewals, and vendor security due diligence.
• Provide vCISO advisory services with security roadmaps, investment planning, and executive reporting.
• Guide AI governance, data protection and emerging security risks for clients and internal teams.
• Maintain audit‑ready policies and remediation tracking; ensure gaps are tracked to closure.
• Ensure delivery of Cyber Posture Snapshots and health checks; manage remediation and maturity scoring.
• Lead executive client strategy meetings; escalate complex security, compliance, and risk concerns.
• Communicate findings and risks to technical and nontechnical stakeholders; collaborate with security operations on IR and remediation.
• Support pre‑sales engagements and opportunities to expand client security programs.
• Oversee annual backup recovery testing and business continuity guidance.
