Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States‑based role. You will lead cybersecurity compliance programs across frameworks such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001, while delivering vCISO advisory services and executive risk reporting.

You will coach the security and compliance team, manage third‑party risk, and guide AI governance and security policy development as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001 with audit support.
• Experience with risk assessments, third-party/vendor risk, cyber insurance, and GRC automation.
• Excellent client-facing communication and ability to advise executives and manage multiple engagements.
• Leadership experience managing teams or advisory programs in MSP/MSSP/consulting environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across multiple frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments, policy development, and audit prep.
• Oversee evidence collection and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Manage third‑party risk, vendor due diligence, and cyber insurance questionnaires.
• Provide vCISO advisory services and executive risk reporting.
• Guide AI governance and responsible AI adoption strategies.
• Maintain audit-ready security policies and remediation tracking.
