Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager to lead client security programs from a remote, United States–based position. You’ll drive compliance initiatives across NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001 while delivering vCISO advisory services and executive-level risk reporting.

You will mentor Security & Compliance Analysts, collaborate with security operations, and guide AI governance and policy efforts as the company grows

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT/cybersecurity governance, risk or compliance.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits support.
• Experience with risk assessments, third-party/vendor risk, cyber insurance, and compliance tooling.
• Strong client-facing communication to advise executives and manage multiple engagements.
• Leadership experience managing teams, projects, or advisory programs.
• MSP/MSSP or consulting background delivering vCISO services.
• Experience with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and SIEM.
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Cisco Secure Connect, Meraki, OpenDNS, Jamf, Intune, Azure, OneLogin, Okta.
• AI governance, security policies, and risks; Bachelor's in Information Security/IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across multiple frameworks and clients.
• Manage risk assessments, policy development, audits, and evidence collection.
• Oversee governance, risk and compliance processes for delivery platforms.
• Provide vCISO advisory services, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Guide and coach Security & Compliance Analysts as the team grows.
• Coordinate with security operations on incident response and remediation.
• Engage with pre-sales on cybersecurity recommendations and opportunities.
• Ensure ongoing client communications, dashboards, and risk reporting.
