Job summary

CyberMaxx is seeking a SOC Analyst to monitor and analyze security alerts from diverse tools, coordinate with users and admins during investigations, and construct timelines for adversarial activity. You will escalate tickets, classify incidents, document work in the ticketing system, and stay current on industry best practices.

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and Sec+, CySA+ within a year are required; English fluency and willingness to work 24/7 shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Certifications Sec+, CySA+ within 1 year.
• Internship or class projects exposing SOC environment.
• Entry level experience in incident investigations and responses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various tools.
• Coordinate with users and admins during investigations.
• Collect and analyze raw events; construct timelines.
• Provide feedback to improve detection capabilities.
• Escalate tickets per established processes.
• Classify and prioritize incidents using criteria.
• Document work thoroughly in the ticketing system.
• Stay informed on industry best practices and news.
• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings.
