Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst for our client based in East London with remote work options. You will monitor security events, analyze incidents, and support deployment of security tools while collaborating with IT teams to enforce security policies.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in cybersecurity, a solid understanding of threats and networks, and are motivated to stay updated on industry best practices. CompTIA Security+ is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 1–3 years in cybersecurity or IT security role.
• Understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and operating systems.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS to detect threats.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, document findings and recommend actions.
• Assist in deployment and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and help manage remediation.
