Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Detection to join a fully remote SOC-focused team. You will monitor security systems, analyze alerts, investigate potential breaches, and implement measures to strengthen defenses across the organization’s digital landscape.

The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), and a solid understanding of networking, malware analysis, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat analysis or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of threat detection, forensics and incident response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) for potential incidents.
• Analyze alerts, investigate breaches and identify root causes.
• Develop threat detection rules and use cases to improve alert accuracy.
• Respond to incidents with containment, eradication and recovery.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and remediation recommendations.
