Placements24 is seeking a Telecom Network Security Analyst for a fully remote security operations role. You will monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats, manage vulnerabilities, and enforce security best practices across the network infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in network security, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM tools, and hold security certifications such as CISSP or CEH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network security analysis or similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM tools.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of common cyber threats and mitigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Monitor network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze network traffic patterns to detect anomalies and malicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Configure and maintain security tools and technologies.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into design and operations.
• Prepare regular security reports for management with findings and recommendations.
• Participate in security awareness training for employees.
