Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a documentation coordinator in the United States to manage US Customs/Government Agency entry requirements for imported goods and to ensure accurate classification for customs releases. You will deliver impeccable customer service and handle data entry across multiple systems.

Qualifications

  • Must have HS Diploma or GED; no industry experience required.
  • Minimum 6 months work experience preferred.
  • Data entry/keyboard experience required; MS Office and Outlook proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; handle high volume and time-sensitive work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation for US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods.
  • Provide impeccable customer service.
  • Classify goods for customs release using database, SOPs, tariff book, internet or customs.
  • Data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle all PGA's.
  • Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
  • Work closely with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high level of service.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments.
  • May handle remote filings.
  • Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
