Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Customs Trade Specialist to coordinate documentation for US Customs and other government agencies, ensuring accurate classifications and timely submissions. You will provide frontline customer service and manage data entry across multiple systems to support import operations.

Responsibilities include handling remote filings when needed, performing entry reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with all import/export regulations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 12 months of industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months work experience required.
• One year of experience using computer systems in a professional environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule preferred.
• Handle high volume, time-sensitive work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for entry of goods.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Process commodities identified for specialized processing to reduce risk of penalties.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release.
• Data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle PGA's.
• Maintain and keep current shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all importing/exporting regulations.
• Collaborate with internal staff, other FedEx opcos, customers, and government agencies to deliver high level of service.
• Process agency brokerage shipments; may handle remote filings.
• Perform entry reconciliations as needed.
• Ensure all policies are followed; follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems.
• Perform entry reviews as needed.
• Other duties as assigned; paid training provided.
