Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Customs Trade Coordinator to help with entry of goods into the US by coordinating required documentation and ensuring compliance with government agencies. You will process data entry tasks, obtain proper classification for customs release, and work with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to deliver high service levels.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED, 6 months experience preferred, plus 1 year experience with computer systems and data entry; paid training

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No industry experience required.
• Minimum of 6 months work experience preferred.
• One year of experience using computer systems and ability to perform routine tasks (data entry, document creation, navigation of standard software).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs.
• Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle all PGA's (participating Government Agencies).
• Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high level of service.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• May handle remote filings.
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Paid Training Provided.
