Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Documentation Clerk to coordinate U.S. Customs documentation for import entries. You will provide excellent customer service, classify goods for customs, and process import documents with various systems.

On-site initially, with potential work-from-home after productivity targets are met. Requires a HS Diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of computer-based work experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required; no industry experience needed.
• At least 1 year of experience using computer systems with data entry and document creation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive work and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use multiple systems and reference material; interact with internal staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation for US Customs and other government agencies.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Classify goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs.
• Data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs.
• Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all international importing regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff and departments to deliver high level of service.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
