Job summary

UPS is seeking a Customs Brokerage Specialist II to review import documents, classify goods with HTS codes, and ensure regulatory compliance. Initial 6 weeks onsite training near Dallas, then transition to fully remote work. Responsibilities include communicating with customers, carriers, and international partners to keep shipments moving efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic knowledge of U.S. customs, strong data-entry skills, and excellent verbal/written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or international equivalent.
• Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations and regulations.
• Comfort with data entry and communicating with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries accurately and on time.
• Review and audit commercial documents; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply correct HTS codes for duty assessment.
• Communicate documentation needs with customers and origins.
• Coordinate freight forwarding and delivery with carriers.
• Submit customs entries via GBS-CM promptly.
• Scan and upload documents into imaging systems.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and database-driven analyses.
• Maintain proactive relationships with clients through clear communication.
• Support weekend or holiday coverage as needed.
