Job summary

UPS seeks a Customs Brokerage Specialist II to review import documentation, troubleshoot discrepancies, and classify goods using HTS. After six weeks of onsite training in Philadelphia, the role transitions to a fully remote position, with ongoing opportunities for growth and collaboration with international partners.

You will communicate with customers, carriers, and partners to keep shipments compliant and moving efficiently, while supporting occasional weekend or holiday work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a U.S. citizenship or eligible work status.
• Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations and regulations.
• Familiarity with HTS codes or tariff classification preferred.
• Strong computer skills and data entry ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries accurately and on time.
• Review and audit commercial documents; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply correct HTS codes for duty assessment.
• Communicate documentation needs with customers and origins.
• Coordinate freight forwarding with carriers.
• Submit customs entries via GBS-CM promptly.
• Scan and upload documentation into imaging systems.
• Prepare reports and database-driven analyses.
• Maintain relationships with clients through clear communication.
• Support weekend or holiday work on a rotational basis.
