Job summary

Fivetran and dbt are seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to provide frontline technical support for dbt Labs customers across tickets, email, and video. This is a full‑time remote position based in the AMER-East region, Texas, and Philadelphia.

You will use dbt Core, SQL, APIs, YAML/JSON, and cloud data warehouses while collaborating across time zones to deliver high‑quality support and enablement content with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SaaS issues across channels.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, APIs, and data workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in roles that blend technical and client-facing duties (engineering support, customer success).
• Ability to build clear technical documentation and how-to guides for non‑technical users.
• Familiarity with conversational AI tools to support research and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Support customers via tickets, email, and video, handling a range of issues from simple to complex.
• Grow technical expertise across the dbt platform and related data tooling.
• Own customer issues from initial troubleshooting to resolution.
