Job summary

Molex is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to coordinate all Molex quality activities for assigned customer products and strategic accounts. The role includes global liaison with suppliers, DSS, ODM and CMs to ensure consistent quality performance and execution.

Location: remote with preference for applicants in Texas; travel to customer or CM sites within the Mexico region is required. Knowledge of SAP and Lean Six Sigma tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a Quality role.
• Experience in multisite manufacturing quality environment.
• Experience leading quality improvement with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales).
• Willingness to travel to Mexico region sites.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Datacom key accounts, Molex, and CM’s on QN’s, SQA, and quality improvement; review quality data before submission and coordinate actions.
• Evaluate 8D reports for assigned customers; secure customer approval on QN closures and changes.
• Serve as initial contact on quality issues from customers or CM’s; ensure availability for high-priority issues.
• Assign customer concerns to appropriate Molex personnel; provide global expediting for QN’s; liaise with Molex entities and customers.
• Provide coordination for action item completion to meet quality targets.
• Schedule and conduct quality communications with customers, CM’s, and Molex; ensure global coordination of quality communications.
• Visit customer and Molex locations quarterly for proactive reviews; participate in regional/global meetings.
• Coordinate with plants globally for uniform action on new products and change management for assigned customers.
• Ensure quality lab certifications meet customer requirements and coordinate lessons learned between entities.
• Participate in internal audit teams for entities supplying assigned customers.
