Job summary

Bausch & Lomb is seeking a Head of Technology for Digital Health Services to lead architecture, AI/ML strategy, and regulatory readiness. This founding role reports to the President and will shape the tech stack, partner selection, and engineering culture from day one, with hands-on delivery and later team growth.

You will own data governance, HIPAA/compliance readiness, and interoperability standards while building scalable, patient-facing solutions in a clinical context.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with senior leadership experience.
• Experience taking a product from early architecture to live, scalable production.
• Hands-on builder with strong AI/ML production capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture including cloud, data, security and scalability.
• Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions for core components and partnerships.
• Architect for EHR interoperability and HL7/FHIR compliance from day one.
• Design scalable patient-facing architecture for expansion across eye care.
• Own data governance, HIPAA compliance, auditing and access controls.
