Job summary

Bausch + Lomb seeks a Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for commercial decision-making. You will work across brand strategy, customer insights, market access, and analytics using modern AI tech, cloud platforms, and large-scale data ecosystems.

This role combines AI engineering with business collaboration, ensuring governance, reliability, and compliance in enterprise-scale systems while enabling measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production software, AI, or ML solutions.
• Strong Python development and CI/CD, testing, APIs, code reviews, and containerization.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex.
• Experience with tool calling, structured outputs, function schemas, and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience designing and implementing RAG solutions, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systems.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills and defining business metrics.
• Experience with cloud and MLOps platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production AI agents across the commercial process.
• Build performance investigation agents for brand performance across geography, channel, payer, and ECP segments.
• Assemble ECP briefs from Glimpse/CRM with explainable reasoning and structured data back to CRM.
• Develop evaluation harnesses with golden datasets and LLM scoring.
• Ground agents in the enterprise semantic layer and knowledge graph with proper access controls.
• Ensure determinism and reproducibility with validate-then-lock patterns.
• Integrate agents with Glimpse/Veeva/Salesforce, and other enterprise systems.
• Maintain observability, cost controls, and postmortems; enable on-call response.
