Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Coordinator for CTE Career Development to support work-based learning and CCP opportunities. The role partners with CTE teachers, industry partners, and central office to develop pathways that connect students with internships and credentials.

The position emphasizes collaboration, program development, and data-driven planning to engage students in career and college pathways within CMS and CPCC partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and current license in a CTE program area OR Master’s Degree in School Counseling or Career Counseling
• One year of industry-related work experience within the past 5 years in business, industry or labor; or as a coordinator of work-based learning; or as a CTSO advisor
• Must be eligible for the CTE Career Development Coordinator license #747 with required coursework

Responsibilities

• Serve as the school liaison to MYEP
• Collaborate with CTE teachers to identify internship opportunities and coordinate field trips
• Design professional development for CTE teachers on career guidance and job skills
• Develop strategy and accountability for engaging all levels of students in work-based learning
• Collaborate with MYEP to support internships and summer check-ins
