Job summary

Piedmont Middle School in Charlotte, NC seeks a Career Development Coordinator to advance work-based learning and pathway opportunities for students. The role partners with CTE teachers, counselors, and community organizations to create internships, field experiences, and industry connections that align with career pathways.

The coordinator will guide students and families through college and career planning, including CCP opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in CTE, Counseling, or related field.
Experience coordinating work-based learning or CTSO programs preferred.
Understanding of CTE systems, pathway development, and postsecondary options.

Responsibilities

Serve as the school liaison for work-based learning programs.
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to build industry partnerships and pathway development.
Coordinate internships, field trips, job shadows, and speakers; facilitate CFNC/Naviance usage.
Design professional development for CTE teachers on career guidance and student planning.
Promote articulated credit and CCP opportunities; track and report outcomes.
Support PATHWAY development and pathways forecasting for CPCC collaborations.
Engage families and students with info sessions on college and career pathways.
