Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Business Developer or Senior Business Developer for the Minnesota territory. The role involves developing a productive agency plant, marketing company products, and managing agency relationships while traveling up to 60% within the state.

The candidate will train agencies on products and services, analyze market data, and participate in risk assessment and pricing decisions. Bachelor's degree or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Field of Study: Agriculture, Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline.
• Generally, at least 6 months of crop insurance, sales, business development or related experience.
• Position requires frequent day and overnight travel (up to 60%).

Responsibilities

• Develops a productive agency plant/territory and markets the company’s products.
• Creates marketing plans for the assigned territory and assesses market conditions.
• Prospects, hires, and manages agency relationships to meet production and profitability goals.
• Provides strategic training on company products and services to agencies and uses market data to adjust strategies.
• Maintains high service levels and supports agents in risk selection and pricing within authority.
