Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Crop Division in Minnesota seeks a Crop Business Developer to expand our agency plant, grow market share, and manage travel across the state. This is a remote role with 60% travel.

Responsibilities include developing marketing plans, appointing and guiding agencies, analyzing performance, and training agents on products and services. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and CRM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Field of Study: Agriculture, Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 6 months of crop insurance, sales, or business development experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Develops a productive agency plant/territory and a marketing plan.
• Prospects, appoints, and manages agency relationships to meet production and profitability goals.
• Executes agency action plans and monitors performance.
• Reviews agents' production, analyzes results, and recommends corrective actions.
• Markets and provides strategic product training to agencies.
• Maintains customer service and builds strong internal/external relationships.
