Job summary

Sompo seeks a Crop Insurance Adjuster to support MPCI, Private Products and Named Peril claims. The role is remote in Texas with travel, requiring CAPP certification and a valid driver's license. Two years of crop insurance claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities include field inspections, loss evaluation, relationship building with supervisors, policyholders and agents, and ensuring compliance with FCIC and state regulations. Compensation and benefits align with Sompo's US programs.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience handling crop insurance claims.
• CAPP certification and valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with the Area Claim Supervisor, policyholders, agents, and other adjusters
• Record and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential damages in accordance to established loss adjustment procedures (FCIC, NCIS and Company)
• Complete field inspections, read maps and aerial imagery, measure fields and storage bins
• Utilize company software proficiently including daily monitoring of all company communications
• Explain adjusting procedures and related findings to the policyholder and agent
• Perform fact-finding and investigate crop damage, record information, and transmit information to accurately determine potential indemnities
• Train field claims staff on claim procedures, best practices, and compliance standards
• Willingness to learn new crops
