Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I or Crop Claims Specialist to operate from a home-based office serving Idaho and Washington. The role involves field inspections, claim evaluation, and regulatory compliance with approx.

50% travel across specified counties. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 6+ months in agriculture, and a valid driver’s license; CAPP certification within 180 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; 6+ months in agriculture
• CAPP certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire
• Reliable transportation and travel within territory
• Valid Driver’s License
• RCIS Crop Adjuster physical requirements: walk miles, climb bins, lift 25–50 lbs, outdoors in varying temperatures

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections, read maps/aerial photos, measure fields, discuss findings with farmers on complex claims
• Convey regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel
• Fact-find crop damage, record information, and transmit loss data to determine indemnities
• Gather facts, apply applicable law, and establish negligence principles
• Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters
• Ensure regulatory compliance and company policies
• Contribute to team projects as needed
